music does not have a heart

trained audiophiles might
detect some rather unusual
and brutal soundstage shifts
as the sweet spot surreptitiously
drifts off towards the hurly-burly
of my ever-soaring heart

for musicians it’s all nuts ‘n bolts
their heads are forever filled with
notes dancing ‘n prancing centre stage
their molecules, nay atoms rearrange
spontaneously so as to let melody
permeate their core

music, one might say, does not
HAVE a heart, it IS at heart
rhythm proves it so
